Philip says

Chateau Grand Pey Lescours is a Saint Emilion Grand Cru estate owned by the Escure family. The grapes are grown on gravelly and sandy soil which gives classic earthy, minerally notes - the hallmarks of fine Saint Emilion. This particular wine is Cuvee Prestige so it is made from the best grapes and a real step up. The Merlot gives rich, concentrated fruit flavours and approachable tannins whilst the Cabernet grape gives excellent structure and longevity. The nose is packed with red berry fruits, vanilla and notes of coffee followed by a palate of raspberries, red cherry and chocolate, supported by a good structure and silky tannins. Drink with game or hard cheeses.
