Clos du Val began its story on 150 acres of vineyards planted on some of the finest land in the now famous Stag's Leap district, they went on to buy a further 180 acres of vineyards in the slightly cooler climate Carneros regions. So now they use the best quality Napa Valley fruit to produce handcrafted, estate wines famed for their elegance, balance and complexity.

A luscious, wonderful and fruit style Zinfandel for the serious Californian wine lover. Sheer depth of damson fruit on the nose. Ripe red berry and wild strawberry fruit dominates throughout the palate with savoury notes, proper cracked black pepper, spice and vanilla. Very well made! Stunning with roasted red meats, or crack it open for a posh BBQ! Surprisingly good with crispy duck and hoisin sauce too.
