Made at the estate of Alberto Longo, located in the town Lucera, just north of Puglia, where the Longo family has been farming for over three generations. Alberto Longo, who currently holds the reins to the estate, worked the land with his family as a young boy but then left the region for this studies, only to return for his love and passion towards wine. This Primitivo has all the flavour you would expect from the sun drenched area of Puglia - lots of softly spiced dark cherry fruit and hints of herbs, but without being too jammy. Delicious with lasagne or meatballs.
