  • Discover the brilliant range of Vergelegen wines from Stellenbosch in South Africa.
  • Winemaker André Van Rensburg will be hosting this tasting - he is quite a character and has been one of South Africa's most passionate and talented winemakers for over 20 years, so this is a tasting not to be missed!
  • The tasting will be accompanied by six delicious meaty tapas dishes cooked on the night by local caterer Stanley Street.

 

The menu:

  1. Charcuterie - a selection of cured, and paprika smoked meats served with olives and breads.

  2. Salt beef croquettes with a horseradish pickles and beetroot.

  3. Confit Gressingham duck legs served on toasted brioche with a cherry marmalade.

  4. Boerewors - African spiced sausage grilled and served with chakalaka (spicy vegetable relish) and polenta.

  5. Joojeh Chicken - Persian chicken skewers with saffron, preserved lemon and yoghurt served with an Aleppo sauce. 

  6. Potjiekos - a South African stew with lamb, ginger, bay and vegetables.
 

Booking is essential.

  • Please note that we do not issue physical tickets for events.
  • Please advise us of any dietary requirements at time of booking.
  • Event tickets are non-refundable, but can be exchanged for a gift voucher to be spent on wines or other events, up until 3 days before the event.
