White

Gavi La Battistina Araldica, Italy
A longstanding favourite for the Amps team from Araldica's magnificent Gavi estate, La Battistina. This is a high quality, complex white widely regarded as a benchmark for this area. A really pretty wine with an aromatic zesty nose of apples and limes. Crisp yet bursting with tropical fruit, juicy apple and lemon flavours, textural too with lovely minerality. The finish is balanced, with a zesty mouthwatering quality. Overall, a fantastic all rounder! Delicious an an aperitif or with light fish dishes.

Sauvignon Blanc Taringi, New Zealand
Our best selling Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc because it's such fabulous value! Bursting with the classic huge tropical fruit scent and flavour we all love. Great on its own or with seafood.

Chardonnay Castillo de Eneriz, Spain
Spanish Chardonnay? Yep, that's right. Although you see very little of this grape variety grown there, this is a delicious summery example. No oak was used to make it, so it's just fresh and clean with pure tropical and stone fruits. Drink with seafood, chicken or creamy pasta.

Chenin Blanc False Bay, South Africa
This wine has been a huge hit for years! Take a sniff and you'll find freshly baked bread, honey and dried apple. It's richly flavoured too with a textured mouthful of creamy lemon and apple fruit. A well suited match with seafood, risotto or herby roast chicken but can also handle spice very well.

Pinot Grigio Bella Modella, Italy
Grab a deckchair and relax with this deliciously light, crisp and refreshing white. It's vibrant with zesty citrus and green apple flavours. Best enjoyed on its own or with summer salads, particularly prawn.

Rosé

False Bay Rosé, South Africa
This rosé made its debut on our list during lockdown and it's made quite the impression. It's pale, pretty and textural with stacks of summer fruit flavour and a lovely dry, savoury finish. There is almost no food that fails to work with this wine but it is delicious with Mediterranean dishes especially juicy pan-fried garlic prawns. Or simply drink chilled on its own.

Red

Malbec Benjamin, Argentina
A youthful style of unoaked, fruit forward Malbec from Nieto, a highly acclaimed Argentina producer in the famed Mendoza region. 2018 was a great vintage and it's had time to soften a little, so it's now incredibly drinkable and astonishing value for money! Purple red in colour, fresh and fruity with plum and cherry flavours. Lovely balance with a nice finish. We recommend it with summer barbecues, sausage pasta dishes or lamb cutlets.

Tempranillo Manon, Spain
Like fruity Rioja? You'll like this as Tempranillo is the main grape used in Rioja. A hugely appealing red that over delivers with every sip! Black cherries, dark berries, sweet spice and coconut flavours. Match with sausages from the BBQ.

Nero d'Avola Sibiliano, Sicily
Nero d'Avola is one of those rich, dark fruit yet not too heavy grape varieties that is really easy to drink. This also has lovely baking spice flavours in the mix too. It punches well above its price tag and it's organic too. Enjoy alongside a beefburger or pizza.

Carignan Lucha Rocosa, Chile
Again, another new wine on our shelves. The Carignan grape variety is really juicy and gives lovely blackberry and mulberry fruit. The finish leaves you wanting more! Enjoy with slow cooked lamb or a platter of cured meats like chorizo.

Pinot Noir Calusari, Romania
A brilliant example of the good quality wines now being made in this corner of Europe. Vibrant strawberry and cranberry aromas balanced by characteristically earthy Pinot Noir tones. Stunning value – this kind of quality would cost a whole lot more elsewhere in the world! Serve with a rack of lamb. You could even chill it lightly on a warm day.

Merlot Bellefontaine, France
A classic French Merlot from the Languedoc region that's sure to please any Merlot drinker - rich, vibrant and moreish. Soft and pliable red capable of matching with most foods.
