Curiously curious London Dry Gin. A cabinet of knick-knacks and colourful trinkets; shelf upon shelf of intriguing memorabilia. Welcome to The Eclectic Gin Society. A wonderful place for whacky, whimsical and experienced minds. Each item on the shelves on the label represents a diverse band of independent wine merchants on the quest to create their own perfect gin. Distilled in small batches in a traditional copper pot still, our London Dry juniper-led gin finishes with juicy citrus notes. Ideally served ice with a quality tonic and a twist of citrus peel.Ashley says

£150 for 12 bottles
1 bottle each of the following wines is included:
_____
Garnacha Blanc La Miranda de Secastilla, Spain
Intensely aromatic. Super soft in the mouth with a simply gorgeous creamy round texture, wonderful balance, lots of ripe peaches and nectarines tied together by a lovely spicy citrus finish.
Chardonnay Vista Flores Cadus, Argentina
So many Argentinian Chardonnays are dense butter-bombs, not this one. Tiny production but big on style from a high altitude vineyard. So mineral and delicious with steely lemon and green apple fruit shining through subtle toasty notes... there's nothing 'new world' about this wine.
Beaujolais Blanc Henry Fessy, France
Don't overlook white wines from the Beaujolais region because this wine is every bit as elegant and delicate as its red counterparts. Having said that, Chardonnay represents less than 3% of grapes grown in Beaujolais so whites are a rare find! The grapes for this wine are grown on granite soils and produce a refreshing white with supple peach, yellow plum and apricot flavours with fresh citrus lemon. A good wine to drink with a terrine starter or chicken/fish in a creamy sauce main.
Scheurebe Spatlese Horst Sauer, Germany
Made from the Scheurebe grape variety, this is really fresh and zesty. Oodles of pineapple, mango, honey, ripe apple, lime and melon flavours throughout with limey freshness to balance the sweetness of juicy ripe fruit.
_____
Chateau Naujan Lapeyrere Bordeaux Superieur, France
We have scoured high and low to find a good drinking claret for the winter season. This is very elegant, bright with sweet red and dark fruits and a silky smooth mouthfeel. From the highly regarded 2015 vintage, this is the perfect classic Christmas red.
Chinon Rouge Chateau de Coulaine, France
Thirst quenching - yes, but don't assume this is simple. There is real heart and beautiful quality here. Fragrant and bright with an attractive leafy character and dark cherry notes. Serve very lightly chilled with cold meats or if you're feeling adventurous a wild seabass would fit the bill nicely.
Rioja Crianza Camino del Palacio Real, Spain
The Wine Merchant Top 100 is a competition for wines stocked by and judged by independent wine merchants all over the UK. Over 700 wines were submitted this year to be judged on quality, character and value. This wine was that little bit extra special and picked up a trophy! It's an upfront, fruity Rioja that has bold red and black fruit aromas. It's really generous on flavour with fruit compote, vanilla and spice. A good choice with roast lamb or sausages & mash.
Pinot Noir Santa Macarena, Chile
A seriously cool Pinot with silky red berry fruit flavours and stunning concentration. Very versatile and pairs with anything from salmon to duck.
_____
If you would prefer a white only or red only case, we will send you pairs of each wine instead. Please note that if a wine is unavailable we will substitute it with a suitable alternative.
