Highfield, Marlborough

A certain amount of European influence but wishing to retain its heritage of Marlborough. The philosophy is restrained and this is certainly expressed in the wines. All the wines from the Highfields range are made with food in mind, providing a citric finish to cleanse the palate.
Elstree Cuvee Brut 2007
Made from 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir. Rich, leesy, bready nose underpinned by good
apple fruit. Fresh and clean on the palate, lovely mousse, really good finish.

Highfield Sauvignon Blanc 2011
Bright citrus and tropical fruits, quite lifted, elegant minerally palate and really nice finish.

Highfield Riesling 2011
Delicious lemon and lime, intense palate of lime and a lovely texture, sweet fruit and perfectly balanced acidity. Medium sweet and simply delicious.
