We’ve been searching for a richer, riper style of red that suits those that enjoy really fruity wines and we think we’ve hit the jackpot with this! Big on personality, this has lots of ripe black cherry and chocolate flavour and is super smooth. So what makes this wine so good? It’s the ‘appassimento’ technique which is an ancient Venetian method of leaving grapes to air dry so they begin to shrivel in the sun and become more concentrated. It’s like when you eat a raisin, there’s more richness and sweetness in that than there is in a grape and that’s exactly what you get with this wine. Bellissimo! You could easily drink this on its own but it’s a home run matched with beefburgers, sausages, steak especially chargrilled on the BBQ.
