You’ll be drawn in by aromas of ripe red and black cherries, violets and just a hint of liquorice. There is also something savoury yet lifted – perfumed wood – sandalwood or cedar? Either way it’s a tantalising, complex and delicious nose.
On the palate, more cherry fruit, with some savoury undertones and firm, velvety tannins. Juicy fruit balances perfectly with crunchy acid and a long, mouthwatering aftertaste.
Will pair well with duck breast in a cherry or plum sauce.
