The vineyard is located 800 meters from the Sea, so the area benefits from cooling sea breezes. The grapes are harvested mid-August then quickly, but carefully, transported to the winery where they go through a long fermentation at low temperatures. After fermentation the wine matures for 4 months in stainless steel tanks before release.
Nose: Orange blossom, jasmine, and citrus.
Palate: Intense freshness of grapefruit and lemon with a saline mineral backbone. The finish is long and palate cleansing.
Conclusion: A textural and refreshing summer wine, a perfect aperitif.
Fact: Established in 1880 the Pellegrino family started out as one of the first producers to put Marsala wine on the map!
