The fruit is sourced from a single vineyard in the sub-region of Cima Corgo (within the Douro Valley). The grapes were foot trodden (so traditional winemaking methods) and aged in new French oak barrels, the wine is aged in bottle for 5 years before release!
Ready for drinking now this big and bold red and a lovely rustic charm and a bright freshness. Forest fruit and eucalyptus with a cedar spice aroma, the flavours are oozing with blackcurrants, brambles and spice. Excellent balance, concentration and freshness. A wow wine, that’s for sure.
