The Mencia grape is the undisputed star of the Bierzo region, with its gentle tannins, bright acidity and lighter style. This one has dark cherry and bramble fruit, floral and herbal complexity and a decent-length finish, which all makes for an engaging glass of wine. Perfect with chicken or light red meat dishes – cooked in wine or with tomato sauces. Delicious served lightly chilled too!
