An initial nose of dried fruity berries followed by luxurious dark fruit aromas. Secondary spiced, toasted biscuit aromas from the 18 months this wine has spent in barrel. Velvety soft palate with a gripping but well-balanced tannic mouthfeel. Darker plummy flavours come to the forefront with a hint of berry fruit and gentle oaky spice. Well rounded, balanced and absolutley delicious. The longer, careful vinification process is expressed in the simple elegance of this wine.
Drinking well now but will cellar well for at least a decade.
