A tale of two vintages. A very exciting comparison between the 2015 and 2018 Vergelesses. 2018 has toasty aromas and a citrus intensity, the palate has layers of minerality and streaks of citrus flavours with a herby and white blossom intricasy; vibrant freshness from start to finish, with a distinct lemon and hazelnut on the finish. This is drinking beautifully now or will age further for the next few years. Summed up in one go: Rich, toasty and vibrant!

2018 has, in short, been probably the most successful vintage since 2015, with some growers harping back to 1990 and even 1947!
