* 2023 Amps Team White Wine of the Year *

The Pinon Family have been producing striking wines since 1786… they seem to have a way with Chenin Blanc that coaxes out the voluptuous and decadent side of the variety. Julien, the 8th generation of the family to run the estate, is simply one of the best winemakers in the Loire region.

This is quite unique… a white wine composed of several different vintages, much like they do with Sherry in Spain. The result? Super rich, super lovely, super sensual… like falling face first into a huge bowl of Chenin jelly! There is a touch of sweetness but it’s not what you’d call a sweet wine, it’s just ultra ripe with honeyed tarte tatin and lush stone fruit flavours and shimmering acidity at the end for freshness. An absolute cracker that will catch your eye… hip, hip, Vouvray!
