Are you a wine and spirits fan? Do you love visiting us at Amps? Are you tired of increasing costs of living, and seeing your favourite tipple increasing in price?
Our trade representative, the Wine & Spirit Trade Association (WSTA) is calling for wine and spirits drinkers to email their MP ahead of the Spring Budget on 6th March, to cut alcohol duty for consumers and to help protect the fantastic small businesses (just like us!) on UK high streets.
Take these 5 easy steps:
1. Find your local MP’s email address on the Parliament.uk website: https://members.parliament.uk/members/commons
2. Open a new email and add in the subject line: Support the UK wine and spirit sector!
3. Copy and paste this letter (click link to download): Mp Letter (Psst! You need to add in your name and postcode so your MP knows you’re a constituent)
4. Click send!
5. Let us know you’ve written. Forward a copy of your email to info@ampswinemerchants.co.uk. Equally, if you get a response from your MP, we’d love to see it.
