The vineyards for this wine lie on the highest terraces average aqround 60 years old, the oldest of which were planted in 1920. These old vines, combined with gravelley, sandy clay soils contribute a great deal of character to this hefty wine. Aged for 18 months in oak casks, 60% of which is new oak. Attractive leafy notes and dark fruits. Food match: game meats and dishes with subtle spice.
