This wine can show you how good a Pouilly-Fumé can be with a bit of age to it, Colléction Eugenie 2019 is made from the best parcels of land and is aged in big wooden vats. It is a superb wine with immense complexity and intense mineral flavours, delicious!
Laurent Lebrun runs his family estate in Pouilly and he is also the winemaker at Ch. Oliver in Pessac-Leognan.The estate has been in the family for 6 generations. Laurent’s father left the estate to go and work in Paris and rented the vines out to a neighbour. Laurent studied science and then winemaking and went off to work first in Australia, then in Champagne. When the lease came up for renewal Laurent came home and took over the running of the estate.
He now splits his time between Pouilly-Fumé and Bordeaux.
The vines are situated on the top of the hill on St. Andelain and his neighbours are Dagueneau on one side and Ladoucette on the other so as you can imagine his land is some of the best in Pouilly-Fumé.
