The nose captivates with the scent of mixed berries, morello cherries, almond as well as vegetal, undergrowth and earthy notes. A combination of power and subtlety in the mouth, accompanied by slightly herbaceous and spicy nuances. More youthful when dry, slightly smoky and nutty, peppery finish.

The Herzfeld Pinot Noir comes from the highest Pinot Noir site, which is located on a field dominated by limestone rocks. The vines stand in a south-facing site at the top. The vineyard was planted densely with small Pinot Noir vines from Burgundy.
