Intense aromas of blackberry, black currant, fennel, tobacco leaf, crushed stone and toasted oak. On the palate, rich bramble and cassis, polished tannins and full bodied. Produced in the thrid year of drought, this particular vintage had an accompanied heat wave during the ripening and a reduced yield at time of harvest. This classic Monte Bello will evolve over the next twenty to twenty five years.
