Meet Oliver Zeter, a rising star wine producer that is turning heads.

German winemakers have put in tremendous effort over the years to enhance the quality of their wines and to alter consumers’ perceptions of them. Although there is still progress to be made in that regard, the quality is undoubtedly present, no more so than with Oliver Zeter wines.

ABOUT OLIVER ZETER

Oliver Zeter from Germany’s Pfalz region, is one of the true rising stars of the region. Along with his brother Christian, they are known for crafting vibrant, characterful wines that are both elegant and adventurous.

The bear on the Oliver Zeter wine labels was drawn by Otto Dill, an artist and friend of Oliver’s great grandfather, Walter Baer (German for bear). In 1933, Dill sent a postcard with the bear sketch to Walter when he couldn’t meet for a regular glass of wine. Oliver has kept the postcard ever since and said that it would go on each label when he began making wine in 2007.

Oliver Zeter ‘Petz’ Syrah/Merlot 2023

Named in honour of Oliver’s great grandfather (nicknamed Petz), this attractive red blend is aged for 12 months in wooden barrels.

Juicy aromas of dark berries meet delicate spicy notes and liquorice on the nose. Extremely drinkable with intense fruit flavour, yet with great structure and remarkable length.
